Terms
Terms and the site's honest limits.
Short, because the site already tries to say only true things. Last updated July 2026.
Guidance, not diagnosis
Everything on this site, including the Home Straight Check, the guides and any figure or example, is general guidance. It names likely causes and sensible next steps; it is not a diagnosis of your door, a quote, or advice you should act on in place of a technician looking at the actual door. Every door is confirmed on site before any work or any price.
No prices on this site
There are deliberately no dollar figures anywhere here. Any price you're given will be given on site: for faults, at the door before work starts; for new doors and shutters, as a written quote after a free measure. If a number ever appears to be implied on this site, it isn't; ask us instead.
Safety
Garage door springs and cables are under tension that can injure you seriously. Nothing on this site is an instruction to adjust, release, unwind or repair them yourself, and any safety steer we publish (leave the door where it sits, keep people clear, don't hang on the manual release) is about waiting safely, not working safely. The work itself is a technician's job.
Images
Some images on this site are illustrative, stock or generated, used to show the kind of work honestly rather than to claim a specific past job. No image here is presented as a portfolio piece or a real completed job for a named customer.
Brands and standards
Door and opener brands are mentioned generically. We claim no authorised-dealer, accredited-installer or agency status with any manufacturer, and no compliance rating for any specific product; standards are described so you know they exist and matter, and product-specific claims belong to the product's maker and your quote.
The racecourse
Wyong Racecourse and the Wyong Race Club appear on this site as the town's landmark and the source of a local phrase. We have no affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement relationship with the club, and nothing here should be read as claiming one.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for loss arising from reliance on the general guidance published here. Nothing on this page limits rights you hold under the Australian Consumer Law; for what those rights are, the ACCC's consumer pages are the authority.
